Baker extraordinaire Sarah will be at the Artichoke Festival!

Sarah Cook Artichoke Festival

Native to the Mediterranean and one of the world’s oldest known foods, the artichoke is actually the edible flower bud of a thistle plant in the sunflower family.

Who actually was brave enough to be the first to eat this spiky plant? No one knows, but we DO know that our own baker extraordinaire Sarah will showcase the versatility of the artichoke by making desserts (including cupcakes) for the upcoming Artichoke Festival on June 10-11 at Monterey County Fair & Event Center.

Come see what she creates on June 10 (5 p.m.) at the Chef Demo tent.
