Café Carmel poised to celebrate the sweet month of October with festive cookies, indulgent desserts
There’s no doubt that October is the sweetest month on the calendar. Halloween aside, those with a sweet tooth always enjoy a full 31 days to celebrate two decadent holidays — National Dessert Month and National Cookie Month.
Carmel-by-the-Sea favorite Café Carmel is especially excited for October because it specializes in cookies. Shaped as fall leaves, skulls, ghosts, and pumpkins, these special treats are sold individually or in three packs. During National Cookie Month, customers who purchase 10 cookies of any kind receive two free!
And when it comes to dessert, there is no better place to indulge in National Dessert Month than at Café Carmel. With a case chock full of sweet treats — from pastries to cheesecake to overstuffed cannoli — the cafe is a dessert destination. And don’t forget an array of Marianne’s Ice Cream (perhaps to take home to pair with one of Café Carmel’s custom cakes).
